The control and adjustment part of the oil well is called Christmas tree, which is used to control and adjust the fluid in the well, so as to realize the operation of downhole tools and instruments. Christmas tree is composed of large and small gates, tees and crosses. According to different connection methods, it can be divided into three types:
(1) A flanged Christmas tree. For example, for the loose type II Christmas tree, all gates, tees and crosses except the pressure gauge and cock are connected by flanges, so it is called a flanged Christmas tree.
(2) Christmas tree connected with screw thread. For example, Sheng251 type, that is, large and small gates, four-way pipes, three-way pipes, etc. are all connected together with screw threads.
(3) Christmas tree connected by clamps. For example, Daqing 160 mini Christmas tree.
Christmas tree is divided into two parts according to its control degree. There is no control part inside the CASING gate and below the main gate. If there is a problem with this part, it must be replaced after killing the well; Therefore, do not open and close the main gate and two casing gates randomly in daily management. The rest are controlled parts.

Pup Joints are used to adjust the height of full length tubing or casing strings.
